HELP!!! Shadow the Dog needs a great home!

This is Shadow. He was left tied to a tree without food or water when his owner went to jail! Shadow is in great hands now, but needs a permanent home. He is HIGHLY intelligent and about 6 months old. We think he is about 6 or 7 months old, and is a lab/ shepherd mix. He gets along fantastically with other dogs and absolutely LOVES to play. He is housebroken and knows sit/ stay. In addition we are taking him to be neutered next week.Anyone who knows me knows I am insane dog lover. I share this passion with mother in law Betsy (and, actually, my entire family). Betsy has rescued quite a few dogs, but this one breaks my heart.
