Burt & Francies' New Roaster

Occasionally I enjoy taking photos of inanimate objects. My friends John and Danielle just got a new coffee roaster for their place - Burt and Francies. They are hoping to be roasting in a few weeks, so I am looking forward to taking shots of John in action.

I absolutely LOVE the light in the back room where the roaster is, and the patina of the metal with cool lettering makes for some awesome close ups! I used a wideangle (17mm) lens in both of these to get some interesting perspectives.

The light in the front room is also fantastic, and I think the patterns in the cooler are quite fun!

The majority of us in Bayfield spend most of our free time in this place not only because their coffee treats and bakery are amazing, but their huge front window offers great people watching (or blizzard watching depending on the season :). You can sit and sip and check out all the action. ...or read a magazine

If you want to check out their hours and offerings - go to http://www.burtandfrancies.com/.

Hannah,
I hope you realize how amazingly talented you are! And, if you ever need help finding "characters" in the area to take photos of, I might have some ideas :-)

keep it up!
